Homemade Coffee Body Scrub

Exfoliating is definitely one of my top beauty “secrets” I can’t live without and it’s not just for your face.

I exfoliate my entire body as well at least once a week and this scrub has been one I’ve been making and using for weeks now. Exfoliating on a regular basis helps us get rid of dead skin cells which hang out on the surface of our skin and allow new skin cells to turnover, making our skin look rejuvenated and more radiant. It also helps improve cellulite by increasing the circulation and moving lymph around our body (lymph is a short word for moving the fluid that’s present in our lymphatic system, it’s an important part of overall health and detoxification.)

  • 2 tsp coffee
  • 1 tsp melted coconut oil or olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Using a palm full of the scrub, start towards the end of your body (towards your feet) and work your way up exfoliating in a circular motion until you’ve reached your neck. You can use this on your face if you’d like, it just depends on your skin’s sensitivity to exfoliants. Let set for 15 minutes or longer and then rinse. Repeat on a weekly basis.

Be prepared to get really messy in the shower before you get clean, the coffee grounds will go everywhere.
